Smart farming and agriculture IoT

Pazhong builds IoT systems for farms, greenhouses and fish ponds: sensors that stream soil, water and climate readings to your phone, and controllers that run pumps and lights automatically. Our smart farming platform for Tech IQ monitors several sites from one dashboard, and we design for real farm conditions in Pakistan: long distances, patchy networks and unreliable power.

What we measure and control

  • Soil moisture, air temperature and humidity
  • Water level in tanks, channels and ponds
  • Water quality: pH and dissolved solids (TDS)
  • Weather data and forecasts for scheduling
  • Irrigation pumps, fish-pond pumps, aerators and lights
  • Timers, schedules and automatic rules with manual override

Case study: a multi-site smart farming platform

For Tech IQ’s smart-farming programme we built a connected farm system in which field sensors report box and water temperature, humidity, water level, pH, soil moisture and TDS to a central dashboard. The dashboard flags warnings and risks across several sites on a map.

Operators switch the fish-pond pump, three irrigation pumps, lights and spare relays from anywhere, schedule them on timers, and use weather prediction and automatic sensor calibration to keep readings accurate. The same building blocks can be combined for your crop, greenhouse or pond.

Automated irrigation

An IoT irrigation system waters when the soil needs it rather than by the clock. Soil moisture sensors in each zone report to a controller that starts and stops pumps against thresholds you set, adjusts for forecast rain and logs every run. You can still switch pumps by hand from your phone, and you get an alert if a pump runs but the moisture does not rise, which usually means a fault in the line.

Greenhouse automation

Greenhouses need temperature, humidity and light kept within a band, day and night. We build controllers that read climate sensors and switch fans, misting, heaters, shading or grow lights by rule, with alerts when conditions drift and a history you can compare against yields.

Fish pond and aquaculture monitoring

Fish are lost fastest at night, when nobody is watching the water. An aquaculture monitoring system measures water temperature, level, pH and dissolved solids continuously, switches pumps or aerators on rules, and calls attention to problems on your phone straight away instead of at the morning check.

Connectivity that works on a farm

Fields are big and internet is rare. We use LoRa to carry readings from battery or solar sensor nodes spread across fields to a single gateway, GSM where there is no internet at all, as on our GSM relay control board, and Wi-Fi near buildings. Firmware buffers readings through outages and sends them when the link returns, so the record has no gaps.

Hardware built for the field

Farm hardware has to survive heat, dust, water and power cuts. Enclosures are printed in PETG or ABS at Printonio, our own print studio, sensors are calibrated on site, and controllers return to a safe state after a power interruption so a pump is never left running unattended by mistake.

Frequently asked questions

Can the sensors work where there is no Wi-Fi?

Yes. Sensor nodes can send readings over LoRa to a gateway, or over the mobile network by GSM where there is no internet at all.

Can I start with one field or one pond?

Yes. Most farms start with one site or one problem, such as irrigation or pond water quality, and add more. The dashboard can show several sites on a map.

Can you control the pumps we already have?

Usually, yes, through relays or contactors rated for the pump. We check motor ratings and the existing panel before quoting.

Do you work with farms outside Pakistan?

Yes. We design and build the system and ship the controllers; installation support is scoped with you.
